There is no way to tell as a group. Each of the major casinos will have a few really good ones, but also some who are 'juiced in', grandfathered in etc. who aren't.

My Favorite Strategy with Live Craps Dealer Part 1

Three more times, no response, no eye contact. Ric pays the drunk to my right, skips me and then pays my girlfriend on my left. I told the table boss, who asked the dealer. The first time, when the dealer didn't immediately resolve the issue, I think you should have involved the boxman Adam right away. Just to play devil's advocate, I'm wondering if Ric was confused by the play of you and your girlfriend. I am pretty sure that John later regretted it. When he comes up to my side of the table, I usually take down all my bets and sit out the next 20 minutes unless it is a hot hand. No way I can remember direct quotes here, but told him Ric didn't pay me again, he did it on purpose this time. I'm sure the first time was a mistake, but then he got pissed and tried to cheat me on purpose. My girlfriend and I bought in at separate times and with separate cash. About 10 minutes in, comes a dealer change. The drunk tool next to me chimes in, "you didn't pick up your whole bet. Continuing to argue with the same people is pointless, and it annoys both the staff and the rest of the players.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} Only thing I would have recommended it getting Adam more involved since u weren't getting any justice from idiot Rick. Usually hot tables are very crowded. She wasn't sure if I was right and wanted me to drop it. Maybe someone else picked up your bet. Another dealer says something to Ric about out exchange and Ric unloads on this guy. That sucks! On a hot active table, it is easy for them to make a mistake. I normally avoid his table, but I can't always. John did not ask the guy next to me; John said it was not my bet, and repositioned the bet a bit. My girlfriend asked me if I would like to change tables and I said no way, we are out of this place. I did not renew any of those dealer bets, but instead put all of what would have been dealer bets on my own hard way bets. This conversation is continuing throughout several rolls and I have lost track of the game. I still see John around; he is at a different casino now. If Adam observed Rick's refusal to press your bet and to pay you, he should be reported to his boss and his boss's boss. I am not as concerned about Rick as I am about Adam. I lost it at this point and started screaming at Adam. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}First off, I do not want this to come off as one of those "never visit this place or this will happen" threads. I am posting this to get feedback on how I handled this situation and what others have done if something similar has ever happened to them, not to trash the place where it happened. I was shocked and appalled and the way I was treated at this table. This post has been removed at the author's request. What I think happened is the shooter hit them and knocked them over and that is why Ric missed my bet. I have been "cheated" by a dealer before. I will not play with him unless it is a really hot hand, in which case I watch him with an eagle eye. And if he didn't resolve the issue quickly, I think you should have gone to the pit boss. Now I really know I am right. Now, she's fighting for me. Like the way you posted this and imho you handled it just right. The second time we made our point since the new dealer, Ric, joined the table and we are really celebrating. Eric, you handled it OK, until you started to vent at Adam. A few rolls later we hit our point again. Forgot to mention, up until this point, she had been very irritated at my for pressing it. When I had a table supervisor ask me why I was sitting out it is not my normal playing style , I explained to him that John had screwed me once, and that in my opinion he is incompetent and dishonest his mistake was not dishonest, but his stubborn denial of my ownership of the bet that the prior dealer had placed and which he had no knowledge of was dishonest and I do not want to rely on him to handle my bets. I have no choice but to remove my bet for the next roll. I've been in a similar situation and played it polite and persistent. At his point I am pretty offended and my girlfriend asks me if I want to change tables. I agree Ric was confused the first time, but it was an awful mistake so egregious that I refuse to allow the house to not pay me. Because I always bet the hard ways for the boys, several dealers that evening reminded me that I forgot to bet the hard ways for them, and I told them that it was deliberate because John had ripped me off. I explained to him very calmly that I had made the same bet each time and I have not been drinking, at all. I say, "hey Ric, you missed my bet. Posts on the Tripadvisor forums may be edited for a short period of time. Sometimes it takes a little heat I guess. If Rick did not pay you and it is clear on the tapes, that is pretty serious. Dealer said it was the other guy's bet. Obviously, I will never step foot in this place again. You should have complained to the table manager the suit that sits between the dealers then if not fixed go up to the pit boss. Screwing up the payout on a pass line bet seems pretty strange even if the dice hit a stack. If they didn't agree to pay you and you wanted to pursue the issue, I think you should have requested a tape review right away rather than continuing to argue through several rolls. Got no satisfaction. Maybe she did something after hitting the point that threw him off? I told the dealer that he was wrong, and that he had just burned himself and his fellow dealers, because I was not toking any more that night. I say, "press it please, Ric. He tells me my bet is not worthy of a tape review. I tell him three more times and he finally snaps at me, "I never miss a bet. They all make mistakes, and when the dice knock chips from their position, the dealers are having to rely on their memories. We're both telling Adam that Ric just knowingly cheated me -- and I absolutely believe this to be true. I can't do it, the table is really hot and I tell her "no, don't worry this guy will be replaced soon and we are going to stay here and win money. Sounds like you handled things the best way you could at the time. If you would like to know where this happened, you can PM me and I will gladly tell you. Same thing coming from the girlfriend. However, if this recently happened as in within the last week or so , I would write to the Casino Manager to report the incident. The entire time the pit boss, Adam, is at the table and has not made eye contact with any of us. He gets very angry with me and just keeps repeating himself, "I never miss a bet. My hands never touched the table I tell him. I finally call out to him and tell him I would like the tapes checked. The only exception I ever make it to throw out hard way bets when I want to tip my dealers. She has spent many hours at the table playing with me and loves to shoot, but she has never bought in with her own bankroll. It was obvious Ric was purposely not paying my bet the second time, the way he acknowledged me as soon as the next roll came out. John is also deaf, so he often fails to hear "press it" or "turn all my bets off" or "take all my bets down" instructions. I made sure to encourage Adam to check the tapes later and reevaluate Ric's ability to work the table. I am fairly new to craps and I always play the same bet. At least you didn't let it ruin your whole night. I can't imagine how much worse it would have been had I been drinking. It seems like there must have been something that happened, because Ric has probably been paying out pass line bets forever. My Karmic justice. You mentioned this was her first time buying in. Were you two sharing a stack on the rail or something? OK, I am not going to win this one and I better focus on the game. The guy is friendly, joking around with us and we are having a great time. Once the edit period has expired, authors may update their posts by removing and reposting them. Things could not have been looking better, we joined a hot table and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. So, I will refrain from naming the establishment -- but I will say it was on Fremont St. Our last night in Vegas , my girlfriend really wanted to play craps with me on her own money. I am happy to report that we immediately left this establishment and found a HOT VP machine that kept us in high spirits for hours. I can see he has paid all of the bets and the shooter is going to be throwing again soon. The author may repost if desired. We were not sharing chips at all.
